Verona Community Center

In honor of our 125th Celebration our community center will be selling DVD"s of old pictures of our town and memories to share. It was done in power point with music added and is a wonderful way to remember our town. The cost will be $15. You can get them at the center or call 701-432-5812. We also held a raffle for a beautiful wall hanging made by Janice Cropp. The winner was Jean (Hess) Urbach.

In November of 2008 we hosted our 3rd Annual Hunter's Feed. It was very well attended and enjoyed by all. We want to thank everyone who contributed with their time or with donations of food. It was great to have the community working together. Check the hunters page for pictures of this event. We also housed hunters this year from as far away as Kentucky, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan,Texas and Iowa. They were a great bunch of guys and we hope they come back next year.

We are currently working with an economic developer who says our community center has great potential and is one of the most well kept buildings he has seen. He has given us many ideas to utilize the building more and we are currently working on them. Keep watching for updates on the different things going on in the community center.

Grant

We recently received a grant from the North Dakota Community Foundation to go towards our goal of a new heating system.

NEW BUSINESS IN TOWN

We have a new business at the Community Center. It is called Bella's Catering Service. She will be catering out of the center. Anyone needing a good caterer should contact Amanda Bell at 701-683-4746. It is exciting to have a new business in town and hope everyone uses these new services.
