The Verona Memorial Services were held at the community center again this year. The speaker was Andrew Maley who is with the National Guard Unit 817th out of Jamestown. Andrew is the son of Dave and Kristy Maley and did a tour of duty in Iraq last year. Andrew showed a power point of pictures taken in Irag and the equipment they used and what they did over there. He gave a wonderful address. The Auxillary was in charge of the program and the lunch and did a wonderful job. The Laney grandchildren sang songs for the event and did a wonderful job. They never missed a word. It is wonderful to be able to hold a Memorial Service in our town and hope we can continue to do that for many years to come.
